About Yoga Village UK
The Yoga Village UK website was launched on 1st December 1999 by Andrea Newman to serve and connect the yoga community in the UK. Yoga Village UK has continued to grow and evolve ever since.
An important part of the practice of yoga is being able to meet with and learn from other yogis and teachers in person. The aim of the Yoga Village UK website is to use the wonderful potential of the internet to put yoga people in the UK in touch with each other – internet interactions hopefully leading to fruitful meetings and enlightening student-teacher relationships and friendships.
Yoga Village UK is a growing and evolving community website and we try to adapt to the changing needs of yogis and internet users as the years go by. We are keen to know how Yoga Village UK can better support you as a yoga practitioner or teacher. What information could be included on the site that would be helpful to you? If you have any comments or suggestions, we’d love to hear from you. Click here to send us a message.
Yoga Village UK continues to be dedicated to furthering the practice of yoga in the UK and to support everyone who strives to grow in yoga, whatever yoga path they choose to follow.
For a modest annual fee of £35 you can join the Yoga Village club which gives you access to special offers, competitions and draws, discounts on Yoga Village listings, as well as a link to your website directly from your free listing in the yoga teacher directory if you have one. For more information on club membership click here.
Andrea, Fiona, Bethan and Caroline make up the current Yoga Village team behind the running of the website.
We hope that you find your visit to this website both useful and helpful, and that you will come again! Please do feel free to put a link to Yoga Village UK at www.yogauk.com on your own website if you have one.
Yoga Village UK or Yoga UK?
Our trading name is Yoga UK which we use for the URL of the site and cheque payments as it’s shorter and quicker to write! But we feel that the full name Yoga Village UK reflects better the ethos of the site, which is to develop the sense of community amongst yoga teachers and practitioners in the UK. You can however also access the site via www.yogavillage.org.uk
Included on the site are details of yoga teachers and organisations in the UK who wish to publicise their work and activities in the field of yoga and who welcome enquiries from others.
A listing of any teacher or organisation on this website does not imply endorsement by Yoga Village UK. Any listing or advertisement which we feel to be inappropriate for a website of this nature will be refused or removed.
We accept information from individuals in good faith, and we cannot guarantee that information presented on the Yoga Village UK is correct – please make your own enquiries. If you find any information on the website to be incorrect please let us know so that we can amend it accordingly.
